Under various types of driving on winter roads (turns, braking, including emergency brake application) different surfaces of lamellas are involved working for the result – to maximize gripping with road and provide excellent drainage of water and snow slush.

HIGH MANEUVERABILITY

Unique tread pattern is designed so that lamellas of the tyre are arranged at different angles to driving direction. Therefore, regardless of the position of the tyre, some of lamellas continue to function efficiently, maintaining gripping with road. This improves handling when driving straight and at turning.

STABLE SAFETY

Due to 3D GRIPPING technology active area of 3D lamellas remains unchanged, gripping with a wet road remains as it wears.

Maximum safety on rolled snow and ice surface is achieved by:

Alternating of edges with negative curvature of radius on lugs. This curvature contributes to the formation of additional grip edges for the next lug. Furthermore, the negative curvature improves heat removal increasing tyre life.

Narrow grooves which increase lateral grip without reducing the blocks stiffness. Possibility of tyre studding for better gripping with icy surface.

Efficient protection against aquaplaning and slushplaning is guaranteed by:

Unusual geometry of lamellas with the increased length of straight-line area enables to improve split of water film at driving on wet road.

Wide lateral grooves with variable inclination of walls which allow to drain water and snow slush from the tyre contact patch area quickly. Their efficiency remains as long as the tread is not worn.

To feel confident and comfortable on winter roads is possible due to:

High density of lamellas as well as increased

number of tread blocks edges which function as multiple grip edges, what improves grip of tyre with ice and snow.

Lateral grooves between blocks have different depth, what increases stiffness of blocks at driving on dry road, and reduces tread wear and noise.

UNIQUE RUBBER COMPOUND

In tread rubber on the basis of natural rubber the proportion of silica filler is increased. As the result, due to deformation characteristics of the material at low temperature tyres have an increased contact patch, improved grip with snow-covered surface, excellent handling on icy and wet road.
